Jungle Boys Reunion 2008

We just got home last night from a five-day vacation/reunion/retreat in California’s central coast.  The occasion was a reunion with Brian’s roommates, The Jungle Boys, from his first years at Biola University before we were married.  We hadn’t all been together since the first JB got married over six years ago.  (note: technically we weren’t “all together” since one JB and his family couldn’t make it)

The five original JB, together with wives and children, now number 17!   And although one of the JB could not be present it was still a reunion to remember.  A great time was had by all, as the photos and video below will attest.

A taste of Africa.  One of Brian’s roommates is from Zambia.  He taught us this song on the night of J&C’s wedding while we were sitting in a hot tub relaxing after a long day (J&C were obviously not with us that night).  This is the first time we’d been together to sing it since their wedding six years ago.  It’s not the best video but it captures the spirit of moment.

I just saw the group photo on Christine’s site! How fun, I’m so glad to had a good time. All the new babies are so cute! (and the old one’s too of course)!

Love the video, it makes me miss Kenya! Glad to see you guys had a good trip. Hopefully we will see you soon, at church on Sunday maybe.

Hi I was reading your post on hiking in turnbull canyon and I went up there today but I could not find one area where I could park near the skyline fire road entrance.

Where did you park? If you could contact me by email that would be great!

Hey, I’m a friend of Joe’s. I just recently went to Mozabique, Africa on a mission trip. We sang this song at a church service. I loved the video. It took me back! “There’s no one, There’s no one like him!”
